What is the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation?

The NCCF holds over $16 million in permanent funds, which allow us to distribute over $900,000 annually to benefit the needs of the communities in Northern Chautauqua County.

We were created in 1986 as a 501(c)3, non-profit foundation to support the most pressing needs in the community today. As these needs change, so does our funding focus. 

In addition, we identify current and emerging issues, stimulate resources to address those needs and help our community prepare for the future.

Permanent endowments here for generations to come

Because our funds are held as endowments, contributions our donors make to  NCCF are never spent. Our grants and awards come from the interest or income of our earnings, guaranteeing that our donors make a difference for generations to come.

Approved and adopted by the Community Foundation Leadership Team in late 2000, the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations are philanthropy's most rigorous in key areas: governance, development, accountability, leadership and communications.
