Michael VandeVelde received the grand prize, an “Amazing Vacation Package” courtesy of Peek‘n Peak Resort and Spa. The package celebrates the autumn season in Chautauqua County and includes accommodations, passes for the Peek’n Peak Fall Festival, meal credits and more.
Jan Bouquin received the runner-up prize, a Shults Advantage Package. Shults Auto donated this one year maintenance package which includes oil changes, tire rotations, state inspection and more.
Amazing County is an online treasure hunt where players earn points for completing tasks and activities. Points are chances to win great prizes. The tasks and activities demonstrate that Chautauqua County is an amazing county!
Major sponsors of AmazingCounty for the month of June were Peek’n Peak Resort and Spa, Shults Auto, SUNY Fredonia and Wegmans.
Additional sponsors included Allied Alarm, DFT Communications, Hason Signs, Howard Hanna Holt Real Estate, Jamestown Savings Bank, Lake Shore Savings and Lily Dale Assembly.
The next hunt begins in August, although players can get a taste of the game by visiting the site today and playing for second chance drawings.
The two county community foundations, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation and the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation have organized the hunts to build pride in Chautauqua County. The project is funded, in part, by the Community Information Challenge Grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. For additional information, visit AmazingCounty.com.
