Next Community Grants Program Cycle is Spring 2011.

A total of $17,963 was distributed to local non-profits when the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation announced its Fall 2010 Community Grants Program Awards at an Open House held at the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator during Community Foundation Week recently.
Receiving the grants were the Ripley Free Library, Chautauqua Striders, Camp Gross, the 1891 Fredonia Opera House, Learning Disabilities Association of Western New York, Dunkirk Historical Lighthouse and Veterans Park Museum, and New York Avenue Playground.
The Ripley Free Library received $2,000 for the automation of its library collection and the creation of two work stations equipped with barcode wands.
The Chautauqua Striders received $1,368 to provide support to the Strider’s tutoring program at the Northern Chautauqua County Boys and Girls Club.
Camp Gross received $4,500 for needed improvements and roofing to Camp Gross cabins.
The 1891 Fredonia Opera House received $1,435 for Cinema Series program equipment.
Learning Disabilities Association of Western NY received $2,000 to provide transportation assistance to LDA consumers for vocational, recreational, and medical appointments in the community.
The Dunkirk Historical Lighthouse and Veterans Park Museum received $3,660 for needed window replacement and gutter and downspout installation at the Lighthouse Maritime Building.
The New York Avenue Playground in Dunkirk received $3,000 for playground upgrades.
The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation was incorporated in 1986 as a tax-exempt charitable organization. Since its establishment, the NCCF has distributed over $7.3 million into the community through its various grant programs. It is an organization inherently committed to furthering its mission of enriching the northern Chautauqua community and encouraging local philanthropy.
