An event with legal and community foundation representatives on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008.
Effective immediately, the NCCF will provide free notary service for those who need to have documents notarized. The Notary (D. J. Doino) also has a seal. Identification (NYS drivers license or similar document) is required. If you plan to use the service, call 366-4892 and ask for Mr. Doino.
The NCCF recently established the Bequest Society for Northern Chautauqua as a means to honor and acknowledge those who have indicated their plans to include the foundation in their estate plan or will. Your bequest to the NCCF could benefit a specific charity or the community at large. For many, it can be a meaningful way to express gratitude for your life’s blessings.
Just as we are flexible in our funding, we offer a wide range of opportunities for every member of the community, regardless of income or wealth, to participate in charitable giving. All residents, former residents, family, service clubs, charitable organizations, and friends can establish permanent funds with one time funding, installment funding, or through their will or life insurance policy. The foundation offers a variety of ways to set up a fund to provide income for life.
The NCCF has over 250 separate endowment funds that benefit all aspects of a healthy and vibrant community – such as the arts, hospitals, youth organizations, the environment and the community in general. Many of these funds are specifically used for scholarships for our local youth. Some funds have been established by one individual or family; others have been created through the efforts of many community members pooling their contributions.
