In 2011 the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) received bequests totaling nearly $1.2 million.  Five (5) individuals included provisions in their wills leaving a gift to the community through the NCCF.   

Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) recently received notification that it has met the nation’s highest philanthropic standards for operational quality, integrity and accountability.

he Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) will be accepting “Letters of Interest” to their Community Benefit Grant program until 4 pm on March 1, 2012.

 Grants totaling $33,665 to 11 different non-profit organizations were recently awarded during NCCF's Fall 2011 Community Grants Program. The Community Grants Program is a biannual program that awards grants to non-profit organizations seeking funds to improve the northern Chautauqua County community.

Dr. Raja S. Gopalan has endowed a Registered Nursing Scholarship for employees of Brooks Memorial and Lake Shore Hospitals who desire to earn their Registered Nursing degrees. 

 The RO Foundation is raising funds to benefit patients and families with unexpected transportation expenses through Decorated Tree and Wreath Auction on Saturday, Dec. 10 in Barker Commons, Fredonia, from 2 to 5 p.m.

New NCCF officers for 2011 are announced: President Peter Clark, Vice President Elizabeth Booth, Treasurer Dan Reininga and Secretary Rose Falcone. 

 As community needs increase, nonprofits are looking at additional funding for essential programs. The 23 participants attending this training represented 18 regional nonprofit organizations.

 Matthew Rhinehart, a Jamestown Community College student, was named the recipient of the $500 Chautauqua Fallen Heroes Scholarship. He is a Frewsburg, N.Y., native.

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) held its 25th Annual Meeting on June 20, 2011, at the JCC Training & Conference Facility in Dunkirk. More than 90 community members were in attendance as the foundation reviewed its success last year and Richard Anson was presented the 2011 George B. Weaver Community Footprints Award.
