NCCF’s Building Community Fund

It is possible to make a charitable gift that will help support our current and future operations and programs.

20th Anniversary Fund

Established in 2006 to accept gifts made in celebration of the NCCF's 20th Anniversary.

Adams Fry Community Fund

Established in 2022 by Merv and Nancy Adams Fry.

AMICAE, Inc.

This fund was established in 1993 to benefit Amicae, Inc.; it is now an unrestricted fund.

Anonymous

Established in 1996 by generous local donors who wish to remain anonymous.

Anson Family

A gift of Richard & Maxine Anson of Dunkirk. Mr. Anson, past NCCF Director, founded Lakeside Precision, Inc. and Lakeside Technologies, Ltd.

William Burns Aular

A bequest of Florence W. Aular in memory of her husband. Mr. Aular was an attorney in Dunkirk for 35 years. Mrs. Aular was well known for her works of art, which included model ceramic houses and barns.

Harvey H. Beebe Memorial

A gift of Mrs. Shirley Terwilliger and Mrs. Mary C. Beebe. Harvey Beebe served as the president of the Lake Shore National Bank.

Bennett-Cole Family

This fund was established by Dr. James and Maxine (Bennett) Cole. Mrs. Cole served the NCCF as both a Board Member and Grants Committee member.

John & Cathleen Berner Family

This fund was established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration. John & Cathleen Berner are community minded and long time members and supporters of the NCCF.

Carol & Jim Boltz Family

This fund was established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration. Jim & Carol Boltz received the Footprints Award in 2005. They are well known for their volunteer activities and support of the community.

Michael E. & Cynthia-Ann Brunecz

Established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration, this fund is a logical step for this couple who put family and community first.

Timothy A. Brunecz Memorial

Established by Mr. & Mrs. Michael Brunecz of Fredonia in memory of their son.

Elizabeth Bullock Memorial

Established in 2004 through the estate of Mrs. Bullock. Mrs. Bullock was a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy and Empire State College. According to all, she was a kind and generous friend to every one.

Chautauqua & Erie Telephone Corp. Fund

Gifted by Chautauqua & Erie Telephone (now FairPoint Communications) to support the NCCF's discretionary grant making.

Cliffstar Corporation Fund

This fund was generously established in 1996. Cliffstar Corporation, with corporate headquarters in Dunkirk, is the nation's leading private label juice manufacturer.

Courier Capital Inc. Fund

This fund was established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration. Courier Capital, an investment management corporation with headquarters in Buffalo, is no stranger to the NCCF and our community. They understand the need for unrestricted endowments and continually demonstrate their support.

St. Vincent DePaul Memorial Fund

A gift from John M. Szwejbka in memory of all living and deceased members of the St. Vincent DePaul Society from parishes in Dunkirk.

David J. Doino Family Fund

Established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Campaign. David Doino was both a founder of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation and its first Executive Director. He still serves as Director of Development.

Rocco & Josephine Doino Family Fund

A gift by family members in memory of their parents. Rocco & Josephine Doino immigrated to Dunkirk from Italy prior to World War I.

Paul R. Dommermuth Fund

Established from the estate of Paul R. Dommermuth.

Dorn Family Fund

Andy & Teresa Dorn established this fund in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration. They have been involved with the NCCF since its founding in 1986. Andy received a Footprints Award in 2006 for his role in establishing the NCCF.

Carol G. Dudley Fund

A gift from the estate of Mrs. Carol G. (Card) Dudley. She and her late husband Stewart Dudley owned Dudley Motors Inc. and she owned the 50-acre grape farm on Webster Road where she had been raised. Mrs. Dudley was very active in the community and enjoyed travel.

Dunkirk HS Class of 1946 Fund

Established by members of the Dunkirk High School Class of 1946.

Dunkirk Rotary Club Fund

Falcone Family Fund

Established in memory of Anthony and Nell Falcone of Silver Creek by their family.

Sylvia A. Fenner Fund For Children

Established in 2023 in memory of Sylvia A. Fenner.

Filice Family Fund

Michael and Rebecca Filice established this fund in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration. Dr. Filice's group provides emergency room services 24/7 for several area hospitals. They make a wonderful addition to our community.

Mr. & Mrs. P. Walter & William F. Fredrickson Fund

Established through gifts from Bertha Fredrickson of Cassadaga in honor of her family members.

Gaus Family Trust Fund

Gebbie Foundation Fund

This fund was created through a $200,000 challenge grant by the Gebbie Foundation of Jamestown, New York at the NCCF's inception. It was matched with local donations.

George Family Fund

Established in 2021 by Kathy & Peter George to benefit the community.

Walter T. Gloor Memorial Fund

A gift of Robert Gloor of Fredonia in memory of his father, Walter.

G. H. Graf Realty Corporation Fund

The Graf name in our community goes back over 100 years; today Pete and Dan Reininga run Graf Realty. This fund was established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Graf-Reininga Family Fund

Established though gifts from Lester G. Graf, Perry & Elizabeth Anne Reininga, Daniel & Wendy Reininga, and David and Kathy Reininga.

Lester & Zola Graf Fund

Established through gifts from Lester Graf and Zola R. Graf.

Ernest & Marilyn Green Family Fund

Established in memory of Ernest and Marilyn Green.

Howard C. & Laura M. Green Fund

Established in memory of Howard Green. He developed new farming methods and received patents for the "Green Hoe".

Dr. John & Mrs. Barbara Hamels Community Fund

Established in 2022 by Dr. John & Mrs. Barbara Hamels.

Charles J. Hannum Family Fund

Established in 2006 as a part of the NCCF's 20th Anniversary Celebration. Jim is a lifelong resident of the area.

Anna L. Hoch & Charles L. Hoch Fund

A bequest from the estate of Anna L. Hoch. Lifelong residents of Dunkirk, both Charles and Anna spent their entire careers in banking.

George & Diana Holt Family Fund

Established as a part of the NCCF's 20th Anniversary Celebration. "Pete" and Diana own and operate (along with their children Steve and Amy) Howard Hanna Holt Real Estate.

Johnson, Mackowiak & Associates Fund

Owned by Rick Johnson and Dave Mackowiak, this fund is further evidence of their commitment to the local community. The fund was established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Mr. & Mrs. Frederick Johnson Fund

Gifts of sisters Hazel & Margaret Johnson of Jamestown, New York, in memory of their parents.

Rick, Michele, Heather & Erin Johnson Fund

Rick Johnson was a founder of the NCCF and he continues his support. His family has maintained a membership with the NCCF for 20 years. Rick is a partner in Johnson Mackowiak, a local CPA firm. Michele Johnson is a teacher in the Dunkirk School District. This fund was established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Seth & Martha Johnson Memorial Fund

Gift of Robert & Richard Johnson in memory of their parents. Seth Johnson was a county legislator and treasurer of Dunkirk Radiator.

Jack & Isabelle Kahler Fund

Established in 1999 by the heirs of Mrs. Kahler to memorialize the Kahler's dedication to the community.

William & Ann Kendziorski Fund

A gift from the estate of William Kendziorski.

Ketcham Family Fund

Established by Richard and Susan Ketcham in 2006 as a part of the NCCF's 20th Anniversary Celebration. Richard Ketcham is a current Board Member of the NCCF as well as the current Chair of the Investment Committee.

Jean & John Koch Fund

A gift of Jean & John Koch. John Koch was the President of the family's business, Koch's Brewery, which was located in Dunkirk.

Lake Shore Savings & Loan Fund

A gift of the Lake Shore Savings Association.

Ann James Manly Memorial Fund

Marsh/Prince Family Fund

Established by Susan Marsh and David Prince in 2006 as a part of the NCCF's 20th Anniversary Celebration. Susan Marsh is the current president of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation. David is the current Justice of the Peace for the Village of Fredonia and the Town of Pomfret.

Marx Family Fund

Established in 2022 by Chad and Danielle Marx.

Robert Maytum Memorial Fund

This fund was established in 2005 by the family of the late Robert Maytum. Mr. Maytum was known throughout the community for his generosity and kind spirit. He was the founder of what is now DFT Communications.

Merrins & Szekely Family Fund

Established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration, this fund was created by Dr. Jim and Mrs. Marcia Merrins. Marcia has served on the NCCF Grants Committee and is very active in the League of Women Voters (both on the local and national level). Jim has committed his career to education.

Bob & Peg Miller Family Fund

This fund was established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration. Teaching, running an insurance business, raising a family, organizing the Silver Creek - Irving Heritage Fund and serving on the NCCF Board of Directors keep this family active in the community.

James H. & Susan Mintun Fund

A gift of James H. & Susan Mintun of Fredonia. Mr. Mintun, past NCCF President, graduated from Annapolis Naval Academy and served in Vietnam. He is a retired steel company executive and remains very active in the community.

Building Community Fund

Established for the purpose of accepting gifts or gifts for which the donor wishes to remain anonymous. 

Warren & Nancy Mosier Family Fund

Established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration by Warren and Nancy Mosier. Nancy is the NCCF?s Administrative/Scholarship Coordinator.

A. J. Newman Fund

Established in 1998 through a generous gift of Albert J. Newman of Silver Creek, New York. Mr. Newman founded Excelco Development, Inc. in 1946 and Newbrook Machine Corp. in 1951.

NRG Community Fund

Established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration, this fund is only one of the company's many charitable activities in our community. They have also established a scholarship fund for local students.

Salvatore & Josephine Parlato Fund

Established in memory of Salvatore and Josephine Parlato by their grandchildren.

Permanent Memorial Fund

Established to receive gifts to memorialize someone who has passed. Gifts of any amount are encouraged. All gifts are acknowledged to the family.

Putnam Family Fund

Gift of Daniel A. Putnam in memory of his grandparents Walter L. and Anna Putnam.

Peter & Susan Ryan Community Fund

Established in 2022 by Peter and Susan Ryan.

R. Bard & Deborah Schaack Family Fund

The Schaacks established their fund as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration in 2006. Both are generous with their resources and time. Bard was instrumental in the start up of Chautauqua Leadership Network and has served as the NCCF President.

Jack Schiffman Memorial Fund

Paul B. & Ann Gordon Steele Fund

Established in 2001 in honor and memory of Dr. Paul B. and Ann Steele by their children. Dr. Steele was a prominent orthopedic surgeon in Pittsburgh. The family spent many summers at their cottage on Lake Erie.

Jessie M. and Frederick C. Thompson Memorial Fund

Jack Miller Trooper Toys for Tots Fund

Mr. Miller was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a New York State Trooper for 25 years. Mr. Miller started Trooper Toys for Tots in 1965. He would take returned or gently used toys, repair and restore them, and then give them away to families in need.

Weaver Family Fund

A gift from George and Barbara Weaver. Mr. Weaver owned the Fredonia Seed Company until his retirement in 1984. He was chairman of the organizing committee that founded the NCCF.

Felix F. Welka

This fund was established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration by longtime supporter Felix Welka. Mr. Welka served in the US Army during WW II. He was awarded three Battle Stars during the Battle of the Bulge. His career was spent with the U.S. Postal Service.

Francis J. Welka

This fund was also established in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration by Felix Welka in memory of his brother.

Wells Family Memorial

Established through gifts from Mr. & Mrs. William M. Wells and Mrs. Marjorie M. Wells. Mr. Wells served as a Director to the NCCF and helped to establish a number of endowment funds.

Mr. & Mrs. Dean Warner White

Established through a gift from Mrs. Mary Louise White.

Williams Family

A gift of the H. K. Williams Family. The Williams family published the "Evening Observer" from 1882 until 1994.

Wrigley Family

Established in 2006 by John and Jacky Wrigley of Van Buren Point. John is the NCCF's Fiscal Director.
