NCCF Offers Funding for Community Pride Projects

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) is accepting Letters of Interest to the biennial Community Pride Program. Grants range from $100 to $500 to community groups for projects that promote a sense of pride and worth in the northern Chautauqua County community.

Community-based, not-for-profit organizations, such as garden clubs, service clubs, church groups and civic improvement associations are eligible to apply.  Projects that most exemplify community pride and encourage active citizen participation will be considered for funding. Past grant examples have been beautification projects, signage, park benches, tree plantings and community gardens.

A 1:1 match is required. Dollars, volunteer hours and supplies are examples of a match. To be considered, submit a letter of interest outlining the necessary information including the name of the organization or group, contact person and telephone number, description of the project, cost breakdown, location, completion date, and how raising matching funds.

Submitted letters by March 1, 2017, to Eileen Dunn, Program Coordinator, Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, 212 Lake Shore Drive West, Dunkirk, NY 14048.  Contact NCCF for additional information at 366-4892 or edunn@nccfoundation.org.

As a reminder – the Neighborhood Pride Challenge is a separate program. The deadline for this grant is February 17, 2017.
