Scholarship for 4-H Program Participants Offered to Graduating Seniors

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation is pleased to announce that scholarship applications are being accepted for the Terence J. Centner Agricultural and Environmental 4-H Scholarship.  Terence (Terry) J. Centner established this fund to honor his parents, Harry E. and Mary Ellen Centner. Harry and Mary Ellen, residents of the Town of Dunkirk, helped a generation of 4-Hers to enjoy a multitude of 4-H projects and activities.

Each year, a scholarship is awarded to a high school senior accepted to a 4-year college or university who has completed an outstanding agricultural or environmental 4-H Project. Graduating seniors from Dunkirk, Fredonia, Brocton, Silver Creek, Forestville, Westfield, and Ripley school systems are eligible to apply. Applications are available from the school’s guidance department or at www.nccfoundation.org/centner-scholarship. Completed applications must be returned to the guidance department by May 1, 2018.
