NCCF Announces Community Grants Deadline

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) is accepting Letters of Interest to the Community Benefit Grant program until March 1, 2019.

Proposals must efficiently and effectively address identified community needs or encourage new opportunities. Letters of Interest should include a brief project description, the estimated number of people impacted by the project, the amount of funding requested and contact information. Letters are not to exceed two (2) pages. Electronic submission via email to is strongly encouraged. Guidelines are available at or by contacting the NCCF office at 716-366-4892.

The Grants Committee will review each letter before selecting projects for further evaluation. Those organizations will then be requested to submit a full application. The committee gives priority to applications that address immediate and essential community needs, promising opportunities, and projects with the greatest community impact.

Last fall, the NCCF awarded a Community Benefit Grant to the Fredonia Technology Incubator. “I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Fredonia College Foundation, to express my sincere thanks for NCCF’s gift (grant) in support of the Multimedia Innovation Design Studio at the Fredonia Technology Incubator,” writes Timothy L. Murphy, Director of Development. “Your commitment to our next generation of leaders and support of efforts to improve economic development in the region is admirable.”

Twice a year (March and September), the NCCF considers grant proposals from nonprofit organizations that serve the community.  Seventeen organizations received fall 2018 Community Benefit Grants totaling $93,311. The awards are made possible due to generous donors who have established Community Benefit Funds at the NCCF.
