NCCF Welcomes New FHS Scholarship

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) and the family of Bart Carruth are pleased to announce the establishment of a baseball scholarship in his memory.

The Gabriel “Bart” Carruth Memorial Scholarship is a yearly award presented to a senior at Fredonia High School (FHS) who has participated in the baseball program and plans to continue playing at the college level. Bart was a member of the FHS baseball team from 1973 to 1976 and pursued his baseball career in college. Later in life, he played in the local Chautauqua Men’s Senior Baseball League. Applications are available at the high school or on the website listed below.  The deadline for applications is March 31, 2019.

Visit the Gabriel “Bart” Carruth Memorial Scholarship online at www.nccfoundation.org/carruth-scholarship to contribute to the fund or to download the application. Make checks out to Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation and mail to 212 Lake Shore Drive West, Dunkirk, NY 14048.

The NCCF, incorporated in 1986, is a tax-exempt charitable organization.  Since its establishment, the NCCF has distributed more than $14 million in the community through its various grant programs.  It is an organization inherently committed to enriching the northern Chautauqua community and encouraging local philanthropy.  For more information on the NCCF, visit www.nccfoundation.org or call 716-366-4892.
