NCCF BLOOM Garden Recognition Program Announces 2020 Communities

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) is excited to announce that four communities will be participating in the 2nd Annual BLOOM Garden Recognition Program. The villages of Cassadaga, Lily Dale, Silver Creek, and Forestville will be acknowledging and celebrating the work of their residents who contribute to the beauty of our region through their gardens and landscaping. Gardens will be canvassed and recognized in July 2020.
Volunteer Teams from each community organize and survey all front yards within their municipality and identify gardens that deserve recognition. Identified homeowners will receive a 2020 BLOOM garden sign for their yard. Residents from all communities are encouraged to participate in this beautification project by sprucing up their yards. Community teams recognized one hundred northern Chautauqua County home gardens in 2019.
The overall goal of the project is to encourage communities to contribute to a more beautiful region and to say thank you for the color and character that garden stewards bring to our neighborhoods. By publicly acknowledging homeowners and renters who contribute to curb-appeal, NCCF hopes to inspire residents to engage in making a more beautiful vibrant northern Chautauqua.
During July, volunteers will recognize homes to receive a BLOOM sign. The project will conclude in August with a raffle drawing of Chautauqua County Chamber Gift certificates for participating residents.
