The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) holds over 184 scholarship funds for both high school and continuing education students. Although school is not in session, students are still encouraged to apply for scholarships through the NCCF website. Several awards have due dates coming up in May.
The Matthew Hazelton Memorial Scholarship for Law Enforcement is available for Dunkirk and Brocton students pursuing a career in law enforcement or criminal justice. Applications are due to the NCCF by May 1.
The following scholarships are available to all students in northern Chautauqua County.
The Chautauqua Fallen Heroes Fund Scholarship is open to qualifying students who are interested in careers in public safety as firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and other “uniformed heroes.” Students should submit their applications to their school’s guidance office by May 1.
Thomas L. Barresi Memorial Scholarship is for students attending a Chautauqua County School pursuing a degree in either business or in elementary education, are active in the community, possess an enthusiasm for life, and demonstrate leadership qualities. Applications are due to the school’s guidance office by May 5.
Alice Reding Connell Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating seniors pursuing a career in registered nursing. Students should submit completed applications to their high school guidance office by May 5.
