Two Nursing Scholarship Accepting Applications

Two Nursing Scholarship Accepting Applications

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) invites students – recent graduates and nontraditional – to apply for the Dr. Raja S. Gopalan Registered Nursing Scholarship and the Chautauqua County Home Auxiliary Scholarship.

Dr. Raja S. Gopalan established his Registered Nursing Scholarship at NCCF in 2011. Brooks Memorial Hospital (BMH) and TLC Health Network (TLC) employees pursuing a Registered Nursing degree are eligible for this award. Family members may also apply. Students have until April 1, 2021, to submit applications to Human Resources at BMH or TLC. Additional requirements, information, and the form are available online at www.nccfoundation.org/gopalan-scholarship or Human Resources at BMH or TLC. Congratulations to Laura Braxton and Sydney Swan, the 2020 recipients of this scholarship. Laura lives with her family in Dunkirk and Sydney is from Fredonia. Both work as Personal Care Aides at Brooks Memorial Hospital.

Former Chautauqua County Home Auxiliary members established the Chautauqua County Home Auxiliary Scholarship in 2015. Students from northern Chautauqua County entering or furthering their education in the healthcare field are eligible to apply.  The committee will first consider applications from Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center employees and their family members. Applications are due by April 1, 2021, and are available by contacting the NCCF Scholarship Coordinator Victoria Howell-Siracuse at vhowell@nccfoundation.org, by phone at 716-366-4892, or on the NCCF website www.nccfoundation.org/cnrc-scholarship. Congratulations to Azariah Mosley of Fredonia, recipient of the 2020 scholarship.
