Noah Goodling Hired to Help Strengthen Local Nonprofits

The Chautauqua Funders Group recently announced Noah Goodling will lead a local capacity initiative designed to help strengthen the nonprofit sector in Chautauqua County.

Goodling most recently served as the Fenton History Center’s executive director.

“Noah brings the essential qualities and skills needed to launch and build this initiative. His enthusiasm for the collaborative vision and mission of this effort is evident,” said Diane Hannum, Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation executive director. “For these reasons in particular, the partners are thrilled to have him on board.”

The capacity initiative formed in 2019 with representatives from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation, United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and Winifred Crawford Dibert Foundation. The group’s vision is an exceptional nonprofit sector in Chautauqua County that produces transformational impact, leading to a thriving community where every person’s needs are met.

“Over the past two years, we’ve conducted surveys within our nonprofit community to gauge their insights on current strengths and opportunities for improvement,” said Tory Irgang, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation executive director. “As a group, we’ve provided greater access to information and trainings, as well as, support for regional funding opportunities.”

Additionally, the Chautauqua Funders Group has provided key resources during the pandemic to ensure the viability of many organizations throughout the county. The group has also worked closely with the Western New York Nonprofit Support Group and Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation.

More information on this new initiative and Goodling’s role will be announced in early 2022.
