Community Invited to Flapjack Fundraiser at Applebee’s Supporting Service Learning

Start your weekend off right with a delicious breakfast for a good cause! Join Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation this Saturday, September 20 from 8-10 a.m. at Applebee’s in Dunkirk for our annual Flapjack Fundraiser. Tickets are just $10 and include a hearty breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and your choice of coffee or juice.

Proceeds from the fundraiser support our Service Learning Grants Program, which provides funding to local teachers for projects that connect classroom learning with hands-on community service.

A highlight of the morning will be the much-anticipated basket raffle, featuring a wide variety of exciting prizes donated by local businesses and supporters.  Prizes include gift certificates for  Blasdell Pizza, Tops, Pizza Village, Domus Fare, Villagio, Omalia’s, and Lucky Lanes; admission tickets to the Erie Zoo, Lucy Desi Museum, National Comedy Center, and the 1891 Fredonia Opera House, wine baskets from Liberty, Woodbury, and Merritt Wineries, a beautiful bracelet from Kirk’s Jewelers, gift baskets from Purina for cats and dogs, an autographed full sized Sabres hockey stick, and much more. Raffle tickets will be available at the event for only $10 for a sheet of 25. The purchase of breakfast is not required to enter the raffle.

Guests can also try their luck in our premium prize raffle, with the grand prize being an overnight getaway for four at Peek’n Peak Resort, complete with lift tickets for skiing or snowboarding. Entries into the premium prize raffle are $10 each, and can be purchased at the event or online through 12 pm on September 26 at bit.ly/nccf-raffle.

“We’re excited to bring the community together for a fun morning of food, friends, and fundraising,” said Leslie Wille, Community Engagement Coordinator. “Every ticket and raffle purchase helps us give students the chance to learn while making a difference.”

Tickets for the Flapjack Fundraiser are available online at nccfoundation.org, or in the NCCF office at 212 Lake Shore Drive West in Dunkirk. Tickets will also be available at the door on Saturday morning.

Come hungry and leave inspired – your breakfast will help support the next generation of community leaders.
