Edna Kofoed Scholarship
This scholarship is presented in memory of Edna Kofoed, a life-long teacher in schools of the Town of Ripley. Mrs. Kofoed enjoyed her 41 years of teaching that began in a one-room school and then as a kindergarten teacher at Ripley Central School.
Eligibility
Resident (s) of at least two years in the Town of Ripley.
Senior student (s) graduating from Ripley Central School or its successor by tuition.
Accepted at a college/university.
Criteria for selecting the recipients
Student (s) with good academic achievement, not necessarily at the top of his/her class, good character, a strong work ethic and community involvement.
Priority will be given to student pursuing but not limited to a degree in one of the following: elementary education, agriculture and/or conservation or a health related field.
Deadline to submit applications to your Guidance Department is April 1st.
