David J. Lewandowski Memorial Award
This award is for students entering the trades. Applicants need not be college-bound. Students must submit applications along with the attached recommendation forms to their guidance office by April 1st.
Eligibility
Graduating High School Seniors from Forestville, Fredonia, or Dunkirk.
Those planning on a career in the trades
Priority will be given to those interested in air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, heating, masonry, or plumbing; strong consideration will be given to those interested in other trades, such as agriculture, conservation, emergency services, or forestry.
Criteria for selecting the recipients
Demonstrated positive attitude and an appreciation for life.
Likelihood of success in selected field of work.
Priority will be given to those who have volunteered or worked in the community during their high school career.
Has demonstrated a caring and respectful attitude towards others, including administrators, teachers, community members and their peers throughout their high school career.
